2013 WHL DRAFT
Oct 5, 2012,Semiahmoo Ravens vs North West Calgary Athletics Association (Chilliwack AAA Bantam Tournament)
SEM#4 F, Berry, Spencer 2 way forward who had a solid game today. Was a good physical presence and used his body to his advantage against a small Calgary team. A good skater who always had his feet moving and making plays happen
Oct 5, 2012,Okanagan Hockey Academy vs Victoria Racquet Club (Chilliwack AAA Bantam Tournament)
OHA#5 D, Stevens, Andy Big defender had a good game in his own end. Liked the energy he played in this game. Was physical, and did a good job to keep his feet moving. Not terribly fast, but did not have any troubles with the speed of the game. Liked to stay aggressive in the play and pinched often. Needs to be better at making reads and knowing when to, and when not to. Costed his team a couple of 2 on 1s. Did not show very much offensive abilities in this game. Looks like he needs to improve his shooting skills and his passing abilities.
Oct 5, 2012,Coquitlam Chiefs vs. Langley Eagles (Chilliwack AAA Bantam Tournament)
COQ#1 G, Tucek, Paul Quick goaltender who kept his team in the game for a while with absolutely no help from his teammates. Possesses a good glove hand, and is quite aggressive with his angling. Came up with big saves at the start of the game, but was not able to hold the fort by the third period. Looked exhausted from facing so many shots. 5 hole got very weak, and looked slow whenever he got down to his knees. Size is also an issue, stands at only 5’8.
Oct 5, 2012,Burnaby Winter Club vs Pursuit of Excellence (Chilliwack AAA Bantam Tournament)
BWC#17 D, Fabbro, Dante Best way to describe him today is a vacuum. Just sucked up everything around his area. Was matched up against the opponent’s best players and made them look quite average. Played the game so hard, it was quite impressive to see him be able to be so good all game long. So good on the rush defensively, opponents just could not get around him at all. Uses his stick effectively, maintains a very good gap and steps into them whenever he sees a window of opportunity. Always has his stick around the puck to deflect away shots or passes. Moved well with the puck today as usual and displayed his rocket of a slap shot again.
Jaeger White (Burnaby Winter Club)
White has elite offensive abilities that is very rare in 14 year olds. He has developed a scoring touch that is difficult to come by, and possesses world class vision that will allow him to put up a huge amount of points in the future.
Cody Allen (Kamloops Jardine Blazers)
Allen is a big, physical defenseman who is the heart and soul of this Blazers team. He is quite impressive in his own end, and displayed some offensive potential too.
