QMJHL Mock Draft and Top 10 Rankings

After releasing their highly anticipated 2013 QMJHL draft guide earlier this week, Hockey Prospect, Independent Scouting Service have released for the public the names of the top ten prospects in anticipation of the 2013 QMJHL Entry Draft, set to take place this upcoming June 8th in Chicoutimi, Qc .

Hockey Prospect's 2013 QMJHL Draft guide, which includes over 100 prospect profiles on players eligible for this weekend draft, is available for $9.99.

American defenseman Noah Hanifin is Hockey Prospect's top-ranked prospect, but the chances of him going 1st overall are low as the Norwood, Massachusetts native is committed to play for the US NTDP next season and to play for Boston College starting in 2015. Hanifin brings size and skill from the blueline and is possibly the best 97' defenseman in the world. Following Hanifin are the two Roy's (no relation) but some good debates were had all year between those two players as the top prospect coming out of Quebec. Nicolas brings size and skill from the center position and already plays a strong two-way game. Jeremy is an elite offensive defenseman who can run a power play with ease.

The next three players ranked have similar skillsets as players who can do great things offensively but all lack size right now. Nathan Noel, Anthony Beauvillier and Daniel Sprong should all make the team that selected them very happy. Julien Gauthier, a big power forward from Laval-Montreal, is ranked 7th in the final rankings. Julien is one of the bigger players available in this year's class. Coming in at #8 is defenseman Nicolas Meloche (St-Eustache) who has the complete package of size and skill from the the backend. Two prep school players round out the top ten, with Colin White (9th) who's committed to play with the US NTDP and Boston College in the next couple of years and whose chances of playing in the QMJHL are low at the moment but he remains an excellent prospect. Lastly, Callum Booth is Hockey Prospect's top-ranked goalie at 10th overall. The Montreal native played last year for Salisbury prep school in Connecticut. Booth is big and calm in his net and was a standout performer this year and at the QMJHL Gatorade challenge.

His first of the post-season was in double-overtime in game two against Saginaw. He then scored a key goal in the 3rd period against Kitchener in game one of their 2nd round series.
