This month we are providing a sneak peek at our upcoming edition of our NHL Draft rankings by releasing our updated top 10 prospects for the 2014 NHL Draft. Our full Top 60 prospect list will be released on Friday, February 28th.

Sam Reinhart returns to the top of our list after getting bumped by Aaron Ekblad in our January rankings. Reinhart has been on fire since returning from the World Jr. Tournament. Sam posted 12 pts in 6 games in January and has added 8 goals and 20 assists in February. Ekblad slips to #2 in our rankings.

We have new player moving into our top 5 this month. Nikolaj Ehlers from the Halifax Mooseheads  moves from the 7th  spot on our list into our top 5 at 3rd overall. Ehlers plays fast. He is an incredible skater, he flashes both great speed and agility. He combines scoring skills and the ability to play a role as a playmaker. He possesses Drouin like abilities.

Other players holding onto their spots in our top 10 this month are Sam Bennett, Nick Ritchie, Mike Dal Colle, Leon Draisaitl, Brendan Perlini and William Nylander. Nikita Scherbak of the Saskatoon Blades is a new entrant to our top 10. Scherbak replaces Jared McCann from the Soo Greyhounds, who narrowly missed a spot amongst our top 10 2014 NHL Draft prospects.

Check back to our website on Friday for our full Top 60 NHL Draft prospects ranking.
