Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals are pleased to announce that right-winger Ben Walker has been selected as the Tip Top Tailor-Made Player of the Month for January.
The 18 year-old notched one goal and seven assists for eight points in 11 games played during the month, including multiple points in three games. Walker also currently leads the team in plus/minus with a +3 rating.
"Ben had a very good month for us," General Manager and Head Coach Marc Habscheid said. "He is getting more comfortable in the WHL and his skills are beginning to shine through."
A native of Edina, MN, Walker has recorded 20 points (6G-14A) and 10 penalty minutes in 26 games played with the Royals.

The Royals now travel to Washington for a two game road trip against the Spokane Chiefs and Tri-City Americans. Game one goes in Spokane on Friday, February 3rd, with a scheduled start time of 7:05 p.m. Victoria returns home on February 7th to square off against the Everett Silvertips. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.
