2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge: Sarnia

Sarnia will be this years host for the 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. The tourney will run from Nov. 2nd-8th. This year’s tournament will be the first to feature the new three Canadian national teams format. Canada was previously represented by five regional teams: Atlantic, Ontario, Pacific, Quebec and West.
The 3 Canadian teams will be joined by teams from Finland, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden and the United States. The teams will be placed into two groups of four teams each. The tournament will feature 24 games and be played out of the OHL’s Sarnia Stings home rink, the RBC Centre. The tournament will also feature games at The Shores Recreation Centre in Lambton Shores.
