Belleville adds Cairns

 

The Belleville Bulls and Erie Otters have completed a trade tonight involving two players and one draft pick.

The Belleville Bulls sends overage forward Michael Curtis and Mississauga Steelheads 3rd Round Pick at the 2014 OHL Priority Selection Draft to the Erie Otters

In exchange the Bulls receive 1994 born forward Luke Cairns.

Entering his overage season, Michael has played 243 Career OHL games totaling 99 points. He has displayed good two-way ability over the course of his career. He shows strong effort get back into defensive positioning and has contributed on the Bulls’ Penalty kill. He has a powerful shot, however hasn’t reached his offensive potential at this point of his career.

Luke Cairns is a smooth skating energetic forward who showed flashes last season of good offensive skill. He is capable of creating offense not only with his shot, but displays good puck distribution skills. He will provide a lot of quickness and energy on the big ice at Yardmen Arena for the Bulls this season.
