The Kitchener Rangers and the Oshawa Generals were dealing this week. The Rangers send forward Josh Sterk to Oshawa, in exchange for a conditional fourth round pick in the 2014 OHL Draft and a sixth round pick in 2015. Sterk, who was a healthy scratch during playoff games last season has had a good pre-season for Kitchener.

The Guelph Storm announced today that they have traded goaltender Jason Da Silva to the Belleville Bulls in exchange for a 7th round pick in the 2016 OHL Draft.

Da Silva was drafted by the Storm in the 7th round (132nd overall) of the 2011 OHL Priority Selection. The Milton native played seven games for the Storm last season recording his first OHL victory against the Peterborough Petes in October.

The Guelph Storm  also announced today that they have acquired goaltender Justin Nichols from the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in exchange for a third round selection in 2015.

Nichols is played 24 games last year with the Soo as a rookie. Nichols had a record of 10-7-1-1, a save percentage of 0.892 and a goals against average of 3.52 and one shutout.

In yet another deal, the London Knights acquired overage defenseman Alex Basso from the Sarnia Sting.  The Knights have sent a 2nd round pick in the 2015 OHL Draft (Barrie) along with two 3rd round picks (Barrie’s and Kingston) in the 2014 OHL Draft to the Sting.
