Silver Stick Tournament: Toronto Titans vs. Detroit Belle Tire

TOR #20 G Bonello, Brendan (2015) – Although he did give up a few goals to a top player in Logan Cockerill, he still made many highlight reel saves. He took up a lot of space and had the athleticism to make side to side saves. He also played an aggressive style coming out far in the crease to take away shooting angles.

TOR #52 LD Philips, Markus (2015) Phillips is easily one of the top defenceman available in this year’s draft. He skates very well, moves laterally very well to open up space to make a hard outlet pass. He had a very solid game; he anticipated the play well and took space away from opposing forwards.
DBT #9 C Cockerill, Logan (2015) – Logan put on a show in this game facing one of the best defenceman and goalies in the tournament, yet still score two beautiful goals. His first goal was an end to end rush where he was deking around players using high end speed and head fakes to open up space and deked out a top goalie in Bonello. Cockerill has elite puck and skating skills, he had fantastic hands, but what makes him most dangerous is that he can control the puck, dangle and head fake all using his elite quick speed.
DBT #7 F Studnicka, Jack (2015) – Jack showed off some very good hands in this game making multiple opposing players look silly.
